FORMULA SAE-A 2008

Formula SAE-A 2008 is fast approaching!

This year Formula will be held from November 27th - 30th at Victoria University, Werribee.

Registrations closed on July 18th, so we will have confirmation of participation letters out by the end of July to all successful teams.

Formula was launched in the USA in 1980, and has now grown to an international competition for the purpose of designing, building and competing in a small high-performance race car. The scenario is teams develop a car aimed at the amateur autocross driver market, which could be manufactured on a small scale production line at a cost of less then A$50,000.

Entries are submitted from university based teams who work on the project over a period of a year. Competitions are held in USA, Europe and Australia.

The 2007 Formula SAE-A competition was held 13th - 16th December 07 at Victoria University, Werribee. Congratulations to The University of Western Australia for taking 1st place, RMIT coming 2nd and Monash University in 3rd place. As in the past the event was a huge success.
